What a good set note includes
A Pokemon TCG set is more than a list of cards. It has an era, release date, printed total, secret rares, special products, promotional context, and market history. When a collector starts with the set, they can avoid comparing cards across unrelated print runs.
Start with the TCG hub, then work down through collector checklist fields and individual price or variant notes.
Set checklist workflow
- Choose the set and confirm its id, name, release era, and printed total.
- Sort cards by collector number before sorting by Pokemon name.
- Mark rarity, reverse holo, holo, promo, and secret rare variants separately.
- Keep sealed product notes separate from singles.
- Use a reference URL for every high-value card in the checklist.
Sealed product categories
Sealed Pokemon TCG products need their own fields because a booster pack, booster box, display, Elite Trainer Box, tin, bundle, deck, and collection box can share a set name but represent different inventory. Availability and price should be tracked against the sealed product type, not only the set.
