What this overview is for

Pokemon reference work usually starts with a simple question: what is this Pokemon, what type is it, how does it evolve, or which card version am I looking at? The answer gets messy when forms, regional variants, dual types, trade rules, card reprints, language differences, and market availability enter the picture. This overview keeps the research flow readable.

Use this Neocities hub to move between the local type cluster, evolution cluster, and TCG cluster before jumping into a full lookup.

A clean Pokemon lookup workflow

  1. Identify the species. Confirm spelling, national dex number, form, and language context.
  2. Check typing. For matchups, dual typing can completely change the result.
  3. Check evolution. Record the trigger, condition, game context, and alternate forms.
  4. Add collection context. For TCG, separate cards, sets, variants, condition, prices, and sealed products.
  5. Save a reference URL. Use a stable page so notes remain auditable later.

Good notes stay explicit

Avoid writing "good against Charizard" without saying whether the note is about games, TCG, raids, type matchups, or a specific generation. The more precise the context, the more useful the page becomes for readers and crawlers.
