1. Confirm the base species and form.
2. Write the exact item or stone name.
3. Record the target species and type changes.
4. Add game or generation context if availability changes.
5. Link the note to a stable Pokedex reference.

Why item routes deserve a separate note

Item evolutions are easy to document badly because the base species may have multiple possible targets. A note that says "Eevee evolves with a stone" is incomplete. It should say which stone, which target, and which reference page confirms the route.
